Global Campuses Foundation
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Statement

Global Campuses Foundation, GCF, honors the natural value of all people and their right to create and pursue education throughout life. We believe that education has the power to uplift, dignify, and honor all lives and we are committed to helping people understand our disability culture. These and our other founding principles are reflected through our work in education.

The experience of disability crosses all races, ethnicities, genders and gender-identities, sexual orientations, languages, socio-economic statuses, and ages. GCF is committed to ensuring that a range of perspectives, opinions, and experiences are recognized and acted upon in achieving our mission. We denounce racism, bigotry, prejudice, intolerance, and all systemic social inequities

By providing an equal-opportunity environment that fosters respect and communication, Global Campuses Foundation recommits to creating, updating, and sustaining a workplace and educational campuses that reflect and celebrate the diversity of our community, one in which all people are respected and valued.

Furthermore, to continue to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion at GCF we will:

  • Commit time and resources to diversify our participant population, staff, and board membership.

  • Strengthen partnerships with organizations led by and representing people who experience disability, people of color, people living in poverty, immigrants and refugees, and LGBTQ people.

  • Collect data on our work to make sure that all benefit from what we do and how we do it.

  • Create a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee composed of board/staff/participants to annually review our efforts.

  • Provide cultural competency and diversity training and learning opportunities for campus participants, staff, and board members.
